Hello, I’m John Antony, born and raised in Kerala, India. My journey began with a B.Com degree in Computer Applications, leading me into the world of numbers and spreadsheets. For nearly seven years, I worked as an accountant—two years in India and five in the UAE. It was a stable career, but life rarely goes as planned.
When COVID-19 hit, I found myself in a tough financial spot. That crisis forced me to rethink everything, and I made a bold move: I resigned from my job. Initially, I was completely lost, unsure of what my next step should be. But rather than panic, I started searching for something that truly resonated with me.
During those quiet, uncertain days, I found solace in books. I read voraciously, and soon, the idea struck me—why not try my hand at writing? I jumped into blogging, even though I had no clue what I was doing at first. My initial attempts were far from perfect, and I struggled to capture people’s attention. But I kept at it, learning from other writers and picking up techniques along the way. Fast-forward to now, and I’m thrilled to share my stories on Medium.
I’m passionate about travel, photography, and, of course, writing. There’s something special about freezing a moment in time, whether through words or with a camera. I’ve been fortunate to explore some incredible places, each leaving a lasting impression on me.
When I’m not writing or planning my next adventure, you’ll likely find me spending quality time with my family. They’ve been my greatest support, encouraging me through every twist and turn.
What sets me apart? It’s the combination of experiences—transitioning from accounting to writing, tackling life’s challenges head-on, and finding a way to connect with people through my words. On Medium and here on The White Paper, I write about personal growth, travel, and those often overlooked moments that hold great significance.
That’s a little bit about me. I’m excited to share this journey with you and see where this writing adventure leads us!
